teach language About Checkbox Software

The Journey and Mission

At Checkbox Software, the journey began with a mother's determination to teach her son with autism to talk. What started as a short list of words blossomed into a comprehensive resource for teaching language to children with autism and language delays. The story unfolds with two books that laid the groundwork for our software. The first book was a labor of love written by a computer scientist in a mad dash to teach her son some words. Building upon the first book's foundation, the second book expanded the scope, offering structured language targets alongside space for data collection.

Check It was developed to empower instructors and students to learn anywhere using a digital solution. The software journey began by digitizing language targets and then adding pictures and interactive instructional tools. But it didn't stop there, we listened, learned, and evolved, incorporating user feedback to create a robust platform that meets the diverse needs of educators, therapists, and parents and most of all our language learners.
